Genital pain & burning but no STD?

Hello,

I'm currently in the middle east. After about a month of being here I started developing burning in and around urethral opening, testicle pain (right side), lips started to get a little puffy and red bumps that burned appeared near mouth. It went away for about a month but now the burning down there is back and not going away.

I've been tested for every STD (some multiple times), lyme disease and several others. My lab result all come back perfectly normal with no change in white blood cell count or any other sign that I may be fighting something off.

Any amplifying information would be awesome even if it's just an educated guess.

Thanks,
- Allen

The bumps on the side of the penis may be a different thing. You didn't get tested for Herpes right? Was it tiny clear blisters that were painful? Sometimes Herpes doesn't break out but you can still have it. But if you have type 1 almost everyone has that from oral herpes. If you have oral sex you can get it that way.  Type 2 is only from genital sex. So, anyway Herpes doesn't cause the painful and frequent urination a urinary tract infection would. So you may need to get the urine culture done. If it is negative then we'll see. But you have the symptoms.

Ha all of this is a little over my head. However this is all the data I have at the time. I will mention this to my health practitioner though. Thanks.

Oh yea. I also had some burning on the side of the penis as well and it looked like bumps were going to appear but never did. This only happened once and then went away while the other sensations remained. Does that change anything ?

Thanks,

The symptoms you have sound like a urinary tract infection (UTI). But the urine test doesn't show that. Was the urine test and taken at the same time you had the urine pain etc.?  It may not be a UTI but since the symptoms fit you should get a urine culture test done. Since your Blood urea nitrogen was a little high it may be a kidney infection/urinary tract infection. So that is an indication too.

Do you have your labs reference ranges for the:
TSH,
chemistry panel and Complete blood count?
The rest looks normal.

The TSH is a little on the high side but I don't know your labs reference ranges.

thanks,

Hi and sorry you have these problems. We are not doctors on here but I am a microbiologist and can try to help.

Have you had a urine culture done? Do you have frequent urination and does it burn when you go? Which STD's specifically did you have done?

I'm not sure about the bumps near the mouth it could have been a virus or a allergy.

Do you have any swollen lymph nodes in the groin area? Any blood in the urine?
