H1N1 post viral syndrome

My 12 year old son was dx with H1N1 in October.  He was recently hospitalized for a week as he is still weak, unable to walk, lost 13 pounds, dizzy, sore throat, nauseous and vision difficulties.  All of the tests only told us what he does not have.  He does have acid reflux and the doctors have put him on anti-anxiety meds.  He seems to get worse every day.  I need remedies to get rid of the nausea so he can eat and get nourishment....He is getting OT and PT services.  If anyone has similar stories or ideas to help please let me know.  We are so concerned....

I hope that you found some relief and resolution for your son.  The worry and stress are awful.
I have a 13 yo son who I suspect had H1N1 in late September (at the time they had stopped testing/typing).  Since then, he has had a stomach illness (n/v) that lasted 5 days in October, a URI for 5 days in November, a vestibular neuronitis (dx of exclusion for extreme vertigo) for 3 days in January, and now another URI w/fever (day 4).
Physical exam last week was normal.  CT scan for the extreme dizziness and unstable gait was also normal.  CBC and blood chemistry were also normal.
What is not normal is that he appears to be susceptible to everything.  And he is sicker and the illnesses last longer than average when he gets sick now.  He has really never been sick before this other than occasional strep throat once a year and an occasional cold.
Hmmmm...I hope this too shall pass soon!
