Help!!! emergency:Meningitis?

two weeks ago, i kissed and oral sex with a guy who has been cured from Meningitis (he said so), several days later, i felt a bit of strengthless, easy to sweaty and bad night sleep. so I was worried then i texted him several times, he explained he only had after effects about hearing and balance but nothing else (he told me this before we had relationship actually). his Meningitis was infectious at hospital and then not after out of hospital.he said "still infectious do you(me) really think that they would let me(him) out of hospital??"  i felt a little release after hearing that.

my symptoms are strengthless, easy to sweaty and bad night sleep, some red rash( but glass test is neg, blanch when press it. so it's not Meningitis rash, do it by myself). I don't have fever at all, no headache and neck is ok, a little tight(Kernig Sign is neg, do it by myself).

i want to ask is that possible that i catch Meningitis? Is it at all possible to have bacteria meningitis without a fever? and is that possible the guy is still infectious even out of hospital? THANK YOU.

You can also get meningitis from the flu in bad cases if you get hospitalized. So that is why they give you antibiotics with the flu for pneumonia prevention or treatment and meningitis prevention or treatment.  This yeas is really bad. So wash your hands frequently and especially after being in the public.

cause i was very nervous after met with him, so i  always highly monitor my body temperature, i can sure that i didn't have fever at all.
You said it has been 12 months since he had it. Then no you can't get it from him. It is the same risk as anyone else. He was treated and cured. He hasn't been ill since then right? If not don't worry about it.

thank you, he said so. but these days i always had a slight stiff-neck in the morning(there is one finger distance between my chin to chest after i wake up),then its closer to closer, at afternoon and night, my chin can touch chest.i want to ask its always stiff-neck or only in some period for a person with meningitis?
Yes usually stiff neck and fever are present with "classic" bacterial meningitis. The fever can be low in some cases. The reason there is stiff neck is the meninges are swollen. You don't sound like yours is that stiff. My neck is stiff on one side every day too. You may be sleeping wrong or something. You wouldn't be able to bend it that far if you had meningitis. You would be very ill as well.

Hi, It doesn't sound like you got meningitis from this person.

But can you get it? You can get it from kissing someone, for a particular kind of bacterial meningitis, that has it. But if he had been on antibiotics it would cleared. See this site:

https://www.cdc.gov/meningitis/bacterial.html

So, if the doctor cleared him then you should be okay. If you develop any high fever and like you said, neck stiffness etc. Then see a doctor right away. But the flu is also going around so be aware that a fever could be the flu too. So if you don't have the other signs you may want to see a doctor to see if you have the flu if you get a high fever and chills, severe fatigue, they may give you Tamiflu. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it in a general sense.

I'm not sure where your rash is coming from. Perhaps something else. Allergy, contact dermatitis. Does it itch?

There is a cold virus going around that gives you fatigue and a headache but no fever, and then a few days later slight sore throat and congestion . It lasts for a week or more then you get sneezing etc. Not very severe but does cause fatigue and congestion.

thank you for your explanation.  he has been out of hospital over 12 months and had high blood pressure tablets and headache tablets now. is it highly possible that there is still left meningitis bacteria in his body?

No, I wouldn't worry about it.
thank you for your answer, you are so kind. he has shown me the discharge papers, his type was pneumococcal meningitis. is this type infectious?
