How can UTI be treated? pls i needed help badly

my side is that, iv been to my doctor and have this urinalysis after he gave me this pills.. free-flow,painkillers and antibacterial.. it helped me ease the pain when urinating or not but not totally.. after 1week of taking those medicines i went back to my doctor and told him about it and he requested me to have this ultrasound of the lower abdomen and urine culture.. the ultrasound was okay, all normal and about the urine culture the doctor told me my urine contains purulence i think i don't know whats the right term.. then he gave me chloramphenicol an antibacterial and Ive been taking it for a week now but still doesn't work for me. The uneasiness, urge to urinate often, really.. i don't know where did i get this. I could say, the pain is in my urethra. If its STD, then its not. Ive never had sex either. pls. i need help

I really do need to see ob gyn right? I think I need some serious examination before this will get worse. I've been frequently urinating since high school but it's nothing like now, the pain, uneasiness, like I wanted to urinate ALL the time. I'm starting to worry about this, it's been 2 months now and still got no improvement. :(

Rather than wiping the place from front to back, which may cause irritation, directing a water jet after peeing, try patting with a bigger tissue with more surface area to dry it.Only clitoris is sensitive for excitement during this process but if the whole area seems to be sensitive for no reason like causing pain, irritation and other symptoms, then it could be due to an systemic problem or infection. If you do not wipe it at all, water splash is important and cleaning with a luke warm towel is important which may be available at all times, unless home.

Moist area may build micro organisms mostly fungi (candidia) and few little bacteria(not all bacteria grow in moist condition). If your medication is not helping you, then it could be due to two reasons.
1.Correct medication was not given (any random anti biotic would not kill every micro organisms and every class of anti bacterial would not kill any bacterial group) which means if its fungus then, anti fungals,if  it is bacteria then anti bacterials,if its virus then anti viral have to be used according to their sensitivity to certain class of drugs. Like mentioned before Chloramphenicol is not the drug of choice for situation like this unless proven other wise.
2.Adequate dosage was not given for adequate time.(Any antibiotic mostly needs higher doses(200mg to 1.5gm) for severe infection with symptoms>2 weeks, lasting to 5-10 daily doses of injections until the infections goes off.

So talk to your Doctor and confirm why/how Chloromphenicol would help you in treating this UTI after cross checking with culture report.Get appropriate treatment before things get worse.

I manage to clean my area at least twice a day, after taking a bath and before going to sleep and used to wash my own undergarments properly and rinse it well, and when I used tissue after peeing I wipe from front to back makes me dry and clean but then it hurts a bit after..is it really that sensitive? what if I don't wipe it at all?but i think its not good cause bacteria builds faster in moist right? just asking whats the right thing to do about it.
BTW, yesterday was the last day i took my medicine, it was for 1week and i will visit my doc and tell him that it doesn't have that much of an improvement.

Pyuria or presence of pus in urine may indicate infection or UTI or Renal stones.Since your Ultrasound was normal, most probably renal stones are out of consideration. But presence of pus (purulence),a urine culture report has to indicate the causative organism of such infection. Most of the reports include the name of the organism, out of which E.Coli, being most common,if not S.aureus,Klebsiella and other bacteria or virus.

The urinalyisis report should include number of RBC/WBC,pH of urine etc which indicates UTI.Urine culture should include name of organism, number of organisms in a colony (10^3-6)indicating the severity of disease. If possible, try to include these details to point out the exact cause of Pyuria or UTI.

Sex need not to be the only risk factor to have a UTI (since you never have had sexual experience) as personal hygiene plays an important role (especially in females due to shorter urethra exposed to external environment).Sex,previous or partner infections, surgical procedures, urinary catheters are important risk factors.

Chloramphenicol is not a specific drug for UTI (unless the culture report says organism is sensitive to Chloramphenicol).Specific treatment for UTI include Cephalosporins, Amikacin, Nitrofurantoin(Citralcka), Augmentin, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole,fluoroquinolone,etc, based on sensitive organism to above drugs in the culture report, where mostly the above mention organisms are sensitive to these drugs.

Drinking more water helps in clearing the infection to by increasing urine output and draining pus and stones by increased flow of urine, this also soothes the pain.Pain can be managed by pain killers.

Talk to your Doctor or go to higher center to a Urologist or Gynecologist to get a correct prescription and undergo complete examination of genitals and body to rule out all possible differentials. All The Best!
