Was undergoing a minor surgical procedure that required novocaine injections on the foot to numb the area. While waiting for the area to numb, I had to keep my foot hanging off of the chair. After a bit of waiting, I noticed that there was some blood, semi-dried, on the chair's side around where my foot was hanging. I am not sure if the blood was mine, as I did have an open wound (the injections caused some blood), or if it was another patient's. I am worried about the possibility of my needle injections coming into contact with the blood (if it was another patient's), and what the risk of a blood-borne infection would be. Also how I should proceed/should I be worried?
