My encounter in the bathroom, is it a possible infection?
Today I was going to wash my hand at the sink of the bathroom of my university i'm studying in.
When I pulled the tap up, strong flow of water rushed out from the tap which caused the water to hit the sink hit everywhere. When I was washing my hand and finished, some water from the sink (strong flowing tap water that hit the body of the sink) hit me on my lip. I eventually got water from the sink, just like a sprinkle, hit my lip.
Being doubtful that I am, first thing that came in my mind is infection. Is there any way that this could be a possible infection? Is there anyway that i could get any infectious diseases like herpes, or other infectious disease from what happened? Please help, I'm getting so frustrated here from what happened. I'm scared that i may have caught herpes if some guy had some herpes on his hand then used the sink, before i did. Is it possible? And do you think that i may have been in risk of infection? or am i just being scared for nothing. PLease help. thanks

It's a small blister that has a tiny black spot in the middle.

It accidentally hit my mouth by the way.. I was sleeping sideways then when i woke up my mouth was in the area where the small blister was.. :(
it doesn't hurt. The area isn't red but the blister is somewhat pinkish

If they did send saliva in towards you, You would have noticed, this action is very hard to miss. Nothing to worry about =D

No, its a very fragile virus. I doupt it was there. Think about it you didnt touch the metal so if someone did have herpes and drank it would have gone down the drain. If you touched the metal it would be a little different but you didnt so your fine, you would not catch herpes =D

i say you have nothing to be that scared about. dont take this in an offensive way-- but you sound alittle extreme over the issue. please dont live your life questioning things like this-- i only say for your own good, because thinking about things this way sounds like it would sitr up alot of anxiety.. but anyways, its honestly not that likely that you contracted something over your sink incident. there are alot of stds and diseases where theres a slight risk you could contract them over a small incident such as-- but its NOT likely-- and its definitely not something to stress over in your everyday life. if youre worried about contracting herpes in particular-- or any virus-- my advice is keep your immunity up and make sure to get your daily vitamins and nutrients from the food you eat. herpes is a virus-- and if your body has sufficient immunity, it could fight off viruses without you even knowing"

Sir, please don't joke like that. Are you serious? I'm just a kid and i'm very scared and filled with anxiety... Do you really think that i may have been infected? I never kissed and never came in contact with someone who has herpes.. I'm just scared about the splash of water from the sink... I'm still a virgin and never had any sexual contact whatsoever. I'm just asking that do you think that i may have been infected by that encounter IF it was possible that some guy who used the sink has herpes on his hand.. before me using it. Calm down man. I can bet you already have herpes (cold sores) before this instance. 90 percent of the population is infected. Althought it is mostly by passing drinks and kissing etc. Its nothing to worry about.

(the bathroom was empty, but i saw that the sink was used due to the fact that is has water all over it). And he washed his hands with water, the herpes virus on his hand would be in the sink right?

I'm thinking about herpetic whitlow, if herpes on the hands infected the sink, and the water splashed on my mouth, i may contract oral hsv-1 from that case. But sir DeadLast, do you think by that encounter, i may have been at risk or may have gotten oral herpes?
I know for a fact you did not get herpes from this ecounter. The only thing you can catch from that is a cold. I also assume your talking about Genital herpes correct? The virus is very fragile, it will fall apart soon after leaving the body. There is zero possiblity.
By the way sir, right after the sprinkle of water hit my lower lip, I went to the school fountain to get it washed of with water, then when water from the fountain washed my lips, I drank some water.
