HVS (high vaginal swab test)

my test result has been confirm that i have gardenerella vaginalis infection (bacterial vaginosis). i have taking antibiotics but still itching and discharging as well.
so please what will i di to stop this?

It takes  a few days for the antibiotics to work.. If it has been a week or so then perhaps the antibiotic is not working and you may need a different one. Some bacteria are resistant to treatment.

systemic therapy with antibiotics in this case might not be so effective as it won't even reach the infection.

you should check vaginal PH there are home tests for it. if it's low it won't help fighting infections.

also your hormones levels can interfere with it.

I read that Lactobacillus helps fighting those type of infections, some women tried direct application of yogurt or other products containing lactobacillus!

another natural remedy could be vinegar.

avoid sexual intercourse while dealing with this issue. semen can also interfere with vaginal PH.
