Lymph nodes swell for lots of reasons. You can have any kind of infection and they can swell. That is the reason you have them. When you fight off infection the white blood cells go in the lymph nodes and they swell up and they come out and fight infection. It can be from even a flu or cold or strep throat, mono, all kinds of things. It could be you just were fighting something off and it is taking time for the lymph nodes to go back down. You don't seem to have many symptoms.

No my symptoms starts when i was in dubai that is the reason why i returned to india.right now i had swellon lymp nodes in neck and armpit.i had read in internet that after seroconversion two pairs of lymp nodes will be swellon up to 3 to 6 months

What are your symptoms right now? Any fever, pain in the abdomen? cough? night sweats etc. fatigue? It would help. You could be worried about HIV or something like that and have something totally different or just be so stressed it makes you ill. So I need as much information as you can give me. Since you are living in India did your symptoms start when you moved back there?

I dont have diarrhea i am from india but i was been working in dubai till jan 26 i left my job because of this feared about this symptoms and feels like want to see my parents thats why i came back to india.

Maybe you should get tested for hepatitis and also. You don't have any diarrhea? If you did I would say ova and parasites stool specimen. What country are you from? If you were bitten by mosquitos or black fly you could get other tests. One thing at time. Maybe check your liver enzymes and blood chemistries.

Hi and sorry you feel so bad. You will be okay. I only have my half brother left too. I do have a spouse and his family. But my family is almost gone. It is hard. I had to take care of my mother for years before she passed. I was getting sick all the time too. Stress made it worse. You are stronger than you think. I know you will get through this and be okay. Let me know how it goes. I will be here waiting to hear back from you.  The best test to get is the 4th generation duo assay. If you want to get any other STD's while you are there you can. Do you have any urinary tract problems like burning when you urinate? It could just be  a UTI. But we'll talk again.

I am feeling too bad ma'am i am just 28 years old and i am the only child and my father and mother is both too old dont know what will happen to them if something happens to me.tommorow i am going to take an hiv test dont know what to do if it comes positive.any way thanks a lot for your support

Actually, the only thing that is high is the total wbc count the rest is normal. So that just means you have a bacterial infection (not viral). It depends on the range. The range at our lab for a normal wbc count is up to 11,000 so it isn't really that high. Do you know the reference ranges at your lab? It makes sense you are fighting an infection since your lymph nodes are swollen. It takes a few months for them to go back down. If you had active HIV your labs would look different. Usually, the white blood count would be low and the lymphocytes would be low not high. So it doesn't look like that.

I think its all over for me now on 30/1/2015. I had taken a comlpete blood test the result was as follows  total edta count 7900 cells/cumm .neutrophils.59 lymphocytes 35 eosinophils 00 monocytes 00 today i had taken the same test and the result was total wbc count 10400 neutrophil 60 lymphoctes 30 eosinophills 06 monocytes04

Just the complete blood count with. That would tell if your white count is high it would suggest a bacterial infection. Have you been bitten by any ticks or been hiking or traveling. What country do you live in? BTW I am a woman not a man. It doesn't matter but I should say. I only suggested the HIV test because I know you will be negative. Then you wouldn't have fear. But that is okay. It won't matter. Even having a cold or fighting off infection of any kind will make your lymph nodes swell.

Sir i dont have any other problems except lymph node swollening in armpits and neck.i am extremly scared of taking an hiv test can un suggest any other blood test which give some other test which can give an indication about my status.thanks for your reply

Well, since you feel stressed about this incident and want to diagnose it I don't think you have HIV it may be some other infection. You could get a 4th generation duo HIV test and be done with it. That will ease your mind that were not exposed that way. You could also get Hepatitis B and C and Syphillis. I don't know if you want to get all STD's you don't really have any symptoms. But you could if you want to just clear you mind to rule these things out.

I think there some other infection going on. Have you had a complete blood count done? That would be good too. It would check if your white blood cells are high. Do you have any other symptoms like fever or sore throat? Pain anywhere? Any discharge from the penis? Any sores on or around the penis any time? Try not to worry I really don't think you have any of these. But I'm trying to see if there is anything else going on. Does hurt when you pee? Like a urinary tract infection? Are you fatigued?

Hi sir on 5th dec 2014 i made a mistake of having sex with an prostitute it was protected vaginal only some minutes.but i had some small wounds on my testis skin before the condom had been removed it had touched that wound for some seconds.it was my first and last sex activity after 2 weeks i has an fever which lasted for two days.after a week swollen lymph nodes in neck than rashes on arms and shoulder.then lymph nodes through out body.now after 93 days after exposure i had swallen lymph nodes on neck and armpits is it be hiv feeling like going to die soon.

Well, it may be a virus but it could be a lot of things. Since you previously had swollen lymph nodes and have a rash and had a fever is does sound like an infection. I would see an infectious disease doctor. They may be able to take some tests and figure out what is going on.

Well, if they were not open where blood could enter you have no risk to anything with this incident. Have you had any exposures before this to anyone that would be risky like someone you don't know well? Some of your symptoms sound like secondary syphilis. But Syphilis rash is on the hands and feet not the shoulders. If no other exposures then can you think of anything like a virus or have you been hiking where you could have been bitten by a tick or something like that? Any fever or joint pain?

Actually it was some tiny cuts which were not open it was little older may be 3 to 4 days older

Rashes are generally coming on my hands and shoulders it is little itchy it remain for some minutes and then disappears

You have very low risk of any STD's if at all. Were the cuts open cuts? But, you could get the 4th generation duo HIV test to rule it out if you wanted to. Also test for hepatitis B and C and syphillis. Then you would be sure you had no exposure. I normally wouldn't say symphilis but since you are getting rashes you can rule that out too. It may not be from an STD. Sometime these things come up and it is a coincidence. I have seen it on here many many times.

If those are negative it may be more neurologic or something else not related. What do the rashes look like? Are they itchy or have a raised center? Where are the rashes located?

Yes please help me on december i had an exposure protected sex with an sex worker but after removing the condom it had touched my testis skin which had some cuts.after that i had all the symptoms.now on the 60 days i had swallon nodes on neck and armpits   and also reccuring rashes and niddle pricking line pains in some part of the body.
