Hi and sorry you have this problem. Have you tried an over the counter vaginal yeast treatment? Some yeast are resistant to these as they all have fluconazole in them. The yeast are getting used to the anti-fungals that have azole at the end of their name. But it can also be Bacterial vaginosis (BV). You should get tested to find out if it is a yeast and if it is resistant and also have the laboratory check for bacterial vaginosis. Could you have a STD? If you would need to get tested for those. If you want me to list which ones I can.
Do you use a douche? If you do this cause an in balance in the pH in the vagina so don't use that. Also, don't use soap or anything to wash inside the vagina. It is self cleaning. Just clean around the outside.
Do they have a laboratory there that can test for different strains of yeast and for BV?
If it is a resistant yeast Terbinifine (Lamisil) cream is one of the treatments they can give you but I think you may have to get it by prescription. the topical one isn't supposed to be used inside the vagina. So you have to get the suppository type that goes inside the vagina.
In the lab they can test for vaginal pH, look for "clue cells" and do a "whiff" test and they can determine if you have BV. They also have PCR tests for some of the bacteria such as Garderella vaginalis.
I did test n d result shows it is candida infection after taken d drugs it will come down everything will b normal bt recently d itching start n am using. Funbact A is works bt I want to treat dis infection so dat it will stop 4 once. Pls can dis infection affect me 4rm child bearing.
The result is candida and staph, wat should I do now abt d reoccurrence
Okay so you need to try to get a prescription for Terbinafine (Lamisil) suppository vaginal. It is for yeast. The yeast you have is resistant to the medication you are using. Or, you can try to get tested for the specific type of Candida. There are different types such as Candida albicans, Candida dubliensis, Candida tropicalis etc. Candida dubliensis is the most resistant one. I would see your doctor and ask for a different type of treatment for it. The Lamisil usually works.
As for the Staph it depends on what kind of staph whether it is important or not. So you need to find out which kind. Is it Staph epidermidis or Staph aureus. Ask them about that too. If staph epi then it is just normal bacteria and doesn't need treatment if Staph aureus it depends on how much you have of it. If only a few bacteria then they may not treat it but if you have a lot then they will give you an antibiotic. It depends on how what term you are in in your pregnancy if they can give you antibiotics. But the antifungal is a topcial so it should be okay. But you need to talk to the doctor about all this.

No not usually. It shouldn't make you miss your period. Have you checked for pregnancy or could you be pregnant? Do you use an IUD?

Hello there, I have been dealing with staph in my groin area for over 2 years. A total of 5 infections so far. I came across a research where they recommend a dose of the probiotic called bacillus subtillis. I purchased it from amazon of United States since it wasn't available in Canada. I am hoping the infection stays down. you should give it a try as well to stop staph. Google, bacillus subtillis for staph and read up on it.
