Maybe you should see another doctor who will work with you better. I am not a doctor. I don't know what spongeguard is. I mentioned the diet on www.drmcdougall.com We have been on this diet and it has helped lower our cholesterol and weight and also blood sugar and blood pressure.
Click on top that says programs then scroll down to free McDougall Program and it will come up with a diet plan.  The site has other things to look as as well.

Do you know if your blood pressure is normal? Is your weight normal? I would start out walking. That is a safe way to start. You can walk as long as you want. You can include hills if you feel good will flat areas. If you are good with that walk faster. This way you will get exercise and not hurt anything. Then after you the doctor you can ask them what you can do without hurting yourself. I can't tell you if I don't know what you have.

I have asked the lungs doctor  for the sputum culture earlier but he says it's not needed and he also does not tell me how long is the antibiotic course. Can I eat spongeguard, for getting triglyceride down or can you suggest some vegetables and fruits Can I eat mustard oil?Should I engage in some exercise like skipping ropes, pushups or any other? Will it effect the injury the Doctor is telling me I have?

Well, if you stopped smoking you won't further cause problems for your lungs or for your heart. It will start to reverse itself. But I don't know what kind of damage was done. You would have to ask them. I doubt it is cancer. They would have told you and put you on some type of treatment and/or did surgery. So, it must have been from some injury maybe playing sports or falling down anything like that, bumping into something? Since you stopped smoking it won't affect the triglycerides any more. But you still need to get them down. Are you over weight? The diet will help and also the drug I mentioned. If there is an infection you need to find out if it is gone by getting another culture (sputum and throat) done. I would go back to the same doctor that said you had the infection and see if it is gone . But if you didn't take the full coarse of antibiotics it may still be there. Did you finish that antibiotic?

Well, I think you were saying the lung doctor was treating you for an infection right? He was giving you metronidazole, which is an antibiotic. It may be that you should get a sputum culture and maybe also a throat culture done to see if there is an infection in either or both. If you still have an infection they should maybe try a different antibiotic.  As for the pain, that medicine is supposed to help that they gave you. If it doesn't you should talk to that doctor and tell him that it isn't 'working. It is probably for the damage they said they found. I don't know what it is but you can either ask that did the endoscopic scan to explain what the damage is and whether it will heal or is it permanent. No I don't think the damage is due to the medicine.

Regarding the HDL it is somewhat low. So you should ask the doctor that talked to you about the Triglyceries if they will treat you with medication such as Lopic to get the Triglycerides down. But if you are overweight it would help to lose a lot of weight. Also, the ground flax seed will raise your HDL. The diet I mentioned will help change your cholesterol. You just have to stay away from butter, milk , eggs, and oil and substitute cooking with water instead. I did it and our cholesterol dropped a lot. But it is harder to get the triglycerides down.

You can look at the website www.drmcdougall.com and it has a variety of things to look at. They have a 10 day free diet to try and also a discussion group to ask questions about the diet and so forth. I know it may be different than your usual diet. Also, there is a book that explain the diet.
It is called the Starch Solution by Dr. McDougall. It is detailed about how to go vegan and oil free. This is up to you of course. You may still have to try to take a pill (Lopid) to try to get the triglycerides down first. Then learn how to eat better after. It takes a while.

It is important for you health to get the triglycerides down, the cholesterol down and the HDL up.  The diet will do this plus the added flaxseed.

I am taking the medicines prescribed from past two  days but the pain is not going and when I lie down it pains until I press it or lie on my left side it feels warm and feels swallowen and tight I think. My throat which was getting better now seems to be getting back to the same old condition. Is my not taking the ENT med.affecting the recovery of my throat. Can the damage be due to the medicines of ENT because it was one and a half month of my throat treatment when I started feeling the pain. Can the problem be in lungs and the doctor is taking it to be in the stomaCH BECAUSE the lungs doctor told me it is a lungs infection. The doctor who has told me I am injured from inside has asked me to drink one glass of milk with DHA protein powder should I avoid that or should I show myself to some other doctor.WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE ARE YOU REFERING TO PLEASE IS IT A WOUND PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME ABOUT IT..MY S.HDL is 34.9.IS ALL THIS A SMALL PROBLEM OR IS IT SOMETHING SERIOUS?

I would cut out eating any kind of butter and milk products. Try Vanilla soy milk or almond milk. But, you may have to get on a drug like Lopid (Gemfribrozil). Ask your doctor about it. You can get on a non-fat vegan diet. If interested I can refer you to a website. But it is similar to your diet (no meat, no oil, no milk products, no eggs). Only a few nuts, some seeds, and you have to eat 2 Table spoons of flax seed a day for the omega 3 .  As for the smoking it is a cardiovascular risk factor. But I don't think it caused the damage you are talking about. But you do need to get the triglycerides down. How is your total cholesterol level and HDL?

Take care, and good night.

Hi and so The pills you are on are anti inflammatory medicines and for the pain or acid in the stomach area and also an antibiotic that is good for some bacteria and some parasites. So I don't know which infection they think you have. They may think you have reflux from the stomach that causes the throat to get sore or that the bacteria or parasite they are treating you for is getting into the throat. This does happen with some parasites. So maybe they are treating you for that. I would continue to take the medicines as I think they will make you feel better.  So you are on a diet for lowering the triglycerides too? I hope so. I don't see any medications for lowering the triglycerides. They do have medications for that. You might want to see if the diet works first and if not then get on a medicine for it.  It sounds like you did get some kind of internal damage. But I don't know how. Do you know if you did something to hurt yourself?

the one who told me I have lung infection is a physician and heart and endoscopic specialist the other who told me I am injured and my trigylceride is high is a laproscopic surgeon and male infertility specialist. The endoscopic doctor who told me I had lung infection on asking told me that there are many reasons I can get lung infection and did'nt tell me what type of infection it is.ON second meeting he told me that it is due to the sore throat because throat leads to the lungs it is the same path.the doctor who told me I was injured has prescribed me(1.ACEclofenac,paracetamol&Serratiopeptidase tablets )(2.multivitamins)(3.Ranitidine tablets)(4.Metronidazole tablets 200 mg)and one  lycopene and antioxidants multivitamins and multiminerals syrup.I told both the doctors about the pain, one told I had infection in my lungs other told I was injured from inside.ARE Sore throat and infection in the throat different things? Both the doctors have told me take only there medicines and they shall not be responsible for any reactions if I take any other medicines.

Hi, well you have two doctors. Is one a different kind of doctor than the other? Can you tell me more details of what type of lung infection you have? did they give you antibiotics for it? Did the other doctor give you drugs to lower the triglycerides? if so I would take both the antibiotics and the drugs to lower the triglycerides. There is no problem taking both. I would maybe talk to a chemist or pharmacist or talk to one of the doctors to see if it is okay to take both drugs. I am pretty sure there won't be a problem. I think ask the lung doctor.

I don't know why your adams apple is pushing out. You might want to ask the doctor about that. The sore throat might have something to do with the lung infection, or it can be due to a infection in the throat, or could be due to smoking, or also could be due to acid reflux from the stomach. So it is hard for me to say. It is up to the doctor to look at your throat or do a culture to see if it is infected.  The pain in the stomach may be due the other stomach problem they are giving you the diet for. I 'm not sure. Did you tell the doctor about the pain?

thankyou, for listening to me I really appreciate it,the way my body is acting..... is this all related to the smoking I have done? What do you think?I have never eaten too much fatty things and very seldom eat meat, chicken or eggs.IN past two days when I push out my adams apple it appears to be very hard and comes out to a much far distance, can this be due to my sore throat or can it be something else because my sore throat was not cured when I started to feel pain in the bottom left part of my abdomen below the chest, from tomorrow I would be starting the medicines prescribed by the Doctor who told me I was injured from inside. What do you suggest?Should I concentrate on my trigylceride or my sore throat or go back to the doctor who told me that I have lung's infection?Should I began eating the medicines from tomorrow.

That is great if you can quit the smoking.

S. tryiglycerides is probably serum triglycerides. It is a type of fat found in the blood. You want to get your Triglycerides down to 100. High triglycerides can cause hardening of the arteries, high blood sugar and high blood pressure.  It increases your risk of heart attack and stroke. So to lower this you can cut back on calories, lose weight, avoid white sugar, and white flour, limit the amount of cholesterol in the diet such as meat, eggs, and milk products including cheese, don't eat trans fats, limit alcohol, start exercising. Eat ground flax seed. 2 tablespoons a day. Once you buy it or grind it you have to refrigerate it.  There are some drugs your doctor can give you. So you can talk to they about that too.

Emphysema is a type of breathing problem you get when you smoke for years,  a condition in which the air sacs of the lungs are damaged and enlarged, causing breathlessness.  I don't think you have this going by your symptoms.  It is not hard to breath in  is it?

Only your doctor can tell you if you have an infection by listening to your lungs and by the Xray. Or they can take a sputum culture.

Hope this helps.

So far from what you have told me they seem to indicate that you have some type of bowel problem and they are trying to modify your triglycerides with diet. Also, that you have pain in the cleavage area below the ribs. But that it isn't sharp pain. Have you had a chest Xray in that area?  They didn't say if you have emphysema or anything lung related? Or what kind of damage inside that you have? You are going to have to try harder to stop smoking as it may be causing damage to your health. If not now it will. It does sound like dust and smoke may irritate whatever is going on. I think you need to ask the doctor to be more specific if you want answers to what you have. But it sounds like they are correct in having you stop smoking and that you need to stay on this diet to keep your blood level (triglycerides) down. I think the best way to stop smoking is to decide how important it is to you. Is your life more important or the cigarette. And, when you make your mind up about that you just have to quit. I know it is very hard as it is very addictive and it is a habit as well. I know you can do it.

So the diet  is important to keep the  cholesterol down and keep your heart and liver healthy. So, that is my take so far on this.

acually the pain is below my chest and around my chest crack(cleavage area). In these few days I have shown myself to another doctor who asked me get a complete blood test which I did after looking at my report he said that my S.tergylceride is 394 and I am injured from inside when I told him that I am on antibiotics which my ENT has priscribed he told me to stop taking those medicines and to eat what he is giving.Sometimes the lower left side of my stomach also pains around my belly button. In the begininng the ENT had given me medicines which I had to eat three times a day second time he changed them not all but again I had to eat three times third time he reduced many and now I eat two times in the day and night,I don't know how long the course is but for past 4 days I have stopped taking any medicines could this bring back the sore throat.I do have problem breathing but do not experience a sharp pain if I even see dust around me I start choking and taking deep breaths and in normal conditions after sometimes I take a deep breath. The pain feels shifting all over my upper body somtimes it even feels below the wings at the back even if I press below chest or my stomach, I feel as the pain is two three layers inside because I cannot tell exactly where it is but it is there. The pain has I think has declined though I don't have taken any medication regarding it but now it seems fixed at a level and is not gong down.I have smoked 2 cigarettes a day for one year can this lead to lung cancer or throat cancer I have told all the doctors this and every one has asked me to stop smoking, the doctor who told me I am injured from inside has said that it seems you smoke a lot please stop it but I have stopped smoking Is it that I have done too much damage when I smoked Sometimes I didn't smoked for 10 straight days and then when I smoked,I smoked one or at the most three but never went above three and three also very few times.

So,  you haven't finished the course of the antibiotic he gave you to start with for the sore throat? It takes a while to recover from the sore throat. You have to finish all the pills first. The pain in the chest may be pleuracy (which is inflammation in between the chest and the ribs) or bronchitis if it is below the lungs and in the rib area. Does it hurt to breathe in such as a sharp pain? Hopefully, by the time you finish all the pills it will clear up both problems. It can also be a secondary infection. Try putting a hot pack or hot water bottle (which ever you have) on the chest area where it hurts and see if that makes it feel better. When you finish the antibiotics if you still have the sore throat and/or the chest problem I would go back to the doctor and talk to them about it. They can listen to the lungs and the area where it hurts to see if it is inflammation or something else. Right now to me it sounds like inflammation such as pleuracy or maybe bronchitis. So, let me know how it goes. Do you have a high fever?
