Oh I have no idea but honestly I don't care about the "best answer" option myself.
Get back to living life instead of worrying about things not worth worrying about :) Life is short enough as it is not to add to what you have to do while living it!!
You really do not need to be worrying about a blood transfusion your mother had in Russia 20 years ago!!!!
Time to get help now by the looks of all your posts here. Do it so you can enjoy life :)
I am extremely worried and the online forums in which some people write that htlv tests do not pick up all infections is really troubling.. Would you know if this is true?
I am worried because I read symptoms may not manifest until 30 years after infection.. I was tested but I am not sure about the accuracy of these tests, hence I came across this study. That is why I wanted someone else to read it to see how to interpret it..
I do have ocd and anxiety & had been going to therapy before.. I am going to resume it soon..
I would not be concerned about this at all. It was 20 years ago.
Are you getting professional help for your anxiety and ocd?
Hi Grace,
Thank you for replying. I am worried because my mom had a blood transfusion in Russia about 20 years ago. They do not test the blood supply there for htlv. I am thinking that either she or I may be infected (her from blood transfusion and me from her breast-feeding).
Why are you worrying about this?
