Innexplicable Hell!!

It all started about 4 and a half years ago. The first moments I was falling asleep, I woke up, feeling strange, you know kind of when you have the flu or something like that, you don't feel like you're "all" there.

But it was happening once in a while and at the beginning, all I had to do was to wake up, watch tv or read for 5 minutes and then go back to sleep and that was it.

As time went by, this started to happen more frequently. Later, I was eating to get rid of this weird state that my mind and body was in. It worked for a while, as if food was combating what's going on inside me. But now, as to get up and read 5 minutes, it doesn't work anymore.

In the fast 2 weeks it doesn't stop and have come to a point where I'm literally going crazy!!

It's every night and even if I wake up and try to do something for an hour, as soon as I go back to sleep, it does it again.

I don't even know how to explain it. I fall asleep, but not entirely and a few moments later, I wake up and feeling like if something was inside me. My body feel numb, specially the legs and feet. My face as well. And as soon as I wake up, I feel terrible, like if there was a bad energy going on in my body and mind.

I also stopped taking caffeine, which I was sure at one point was the problem. I told myself that I must have developed an intolerance to caffeine.

On my last blood test, everything was ok.

The only other condition that I have, is when I drink alcohol or caffeine, my jaws seem to get tense and clench. But I drink alcohol maybe 6 times in a year and lately it must have been 3 months since I had any.

I first thought that it might have been RLS but that doesn't explain the way I'm feeling in my mind when this happen? I'm saying this because my legs does became numb and I have to move them. They also move by themselves sometimes.

I'm truly going insane here!!

I sure hope someone could explain what's happening to me?

I'm sleeping 3 to 4 hours per night!!

Your symptoms need to be evaluated and manged by your doctor. Many sleep clinics at local hospitals provide free care to patients who qualify.

I just woke up after 4 hours of sleep...I call the sleep clininc in my area. I explain the symptoms to someone who works there over the phone, he told me he nerv heard of the part about the "mind" symptoms...Plus, I'm on welfare and the cost to do test there is 1400$ which I really can't afford...I really don't know what to do now, I'm seeing my doctor only june 18th and every night is a real nightmare.
