What's wrong with me?

I'm 22 years old, I've been recently told by my Dr that I more than likely have raynaud's (I go to a rheumatologist on the 8th to find out more.) but for the past week or so I have been waking up with my 2 year old son in the mornings and can't keep my eyes open to save my life. I've always had problems going to bed at night I usualy don't get to sleep until about 2 am or later, but I've always been the type that when I get up out of bed I'm awake and there is no goin' back to sleep regardless of how much sleep I've had or haven't had and now I can't stay awake no matter if I had 12 hrs of sleep the night before. I've also had problems for about a month or so with dislexia when I'm trying to read to my son, stuttering, and word confusion when I speak. This is all very new to me, and I don't understand it. My step mom, whom I live with, has been getting very agrivated at the fact that I sleep all day and then go to work leaving her to take care of my son, and to be honest it's agrivating me as well. Any help in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.

Your stepmother needs to understand that you are dealing with a sleep problem and/or hormonal imbalance and she needs to stop blaming you for something that you have no control over, other than to try supplements and get testing if you need it.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
When you are sleepy all day, even if you have slept 12 hours the night before, you may have an underlying sleep disorder such as sleep apnea since daytime sleepiness is the hallmark symptom of this disorder. You may also have “hypersomnia”, a disorder that is characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness despite long sleep durations. Therefore, you should consider posting your question in the Sleep Breathing Disorder Forum and Dr. Park. You should also talk to your doctor about a referral to a sleep center for an evaluation.
