2 periods in a month?

My OB/GYN put me on 250mg of Clomid. I had a period on Feb 8 and the day I was scheduled for my ultrasound (Feb 15) I start bleeding like another period. Since I've had a lap and d&c, my periods are a lot shorter and mostly spotting. I am taking clomid on cycle days 5-9. Until Feb 15 (after the surgery) my periods never really "flowed" just some clotting. My doc. suggested waiting a few more weeks and do a pregnancy test. Is it common after the procedures I've had or the clomid I'm taking to experience these symptoms? Before the surgery I had a period about 5 times a year but they were heavy and "flowed"

No, it is not normal to have the irregular bleeding that you mention on clomid. If I understand you correctly you had a D&C and lap after Feb15.  If everything is normal, then you can resume treatment after checking a pregnancy test. You should have a baseline ultrasound cycle day 1, 2, 3 ,4 or 5 before you start the clomid. Also if clomid does not work (you are on a big dose of clomid) you may need to try another medication for ovulation induction like letrozole or injectables.
