Premature Ejaculation
I need help, I have had PE problems since I started having sexual activity with girls, I am now 24 and still have problems with Ejaculating right away from barely any stimulation. I am wondering the best course to take to help me with this, I started seeing a woman and had a rather embarassing incident this weekend and am a recovering Pain Pill addict, one thing that pain pills did other than get me high, They made me be able to perform sexually for as long as I wanted and could often control it and had very good sexual encounters while on Ophiates. Now that I am working towards staying sober, one of my triggers has always been when I get into a relationship because I want to perform better.....I do not want to relapse for this reason ever again so I am seeking help, I have heard anti depressants can help and other things as well......please any advice will help

Premature ejaculation could develop in young adults due to a variety of causes. Psychological stress, performance anxiety, depression, neurogenic disorders peyronie's disease, body image issues, medications, alcohol, smoking, drugs/medications, hormonal imbalance, radiation therapy, kidney failure, metabolic disorders, multiple sclerosis, hypertension, diabetes, prostatitis, urethritis etc. just to name a few. Anxiety and stress play an important role in the development of erectile dysfunction; and is the most common possible cause. You could try being relaxed and working on the psychological factors. It might also be beneficial to get rid of factors like smoking/ alcohol/ drugs, if involved. In case this doesn’t work; I would suggest seeing your primary care physician for an evaluation of the above mentioned causes and appropriate specific treatment.
