Concerning Symptoms

Hello, I am looking to hear your thoughts on a health issue I am having.

In late August I suffered from 3-4 days of having chest pressure/pain that would last for a few minutes then would be followed by lightheadedness.  They happened often and sporadically during this period, but were at their worst in the evening (after dinner but before bed).

I was then feeling better for the next 3 weeks. I would still get the random chest/lightheadedness, however they were not as severe and not as frequent.

Then in mid September, I was working out at the gym.  About 15 minutes after the workout I experienced some chest pain again, followed by lightheadedness.  For the next 4-5 days, again I had lightheadedness very frequently and felt numbness in my right arm and leg.

The last three weeks I have had very little in the way of Chest pressure and lightheadedness which is good.  However, now I have bouts of being very tired / fatigued.  Some days I can sleep 10 hours, wake up and still be exhausted. Most days I have Nausea / no appetite and have to force myself to eat (especially in the morning).  Yet strangely, I my stomach will growl that it is hungry, but I will be feeling nauseous and not want to eat. In the evening this usually turns to stomach discomfort/pain. I have tried Antacids with limited success.

About Me: I am 30 years old, and my only serious problem thus far as been obesity (I am 6’5” and weight 350lbs). My Cholesterol and Hemoglobin readings are higher then optimal, but not bad enough to be on medication. My Dr. called it Metabolic Syndrome.

What I have had had checked (all negative):
EKG’s (including about 4-5 hours of heart monitoring in the ER)
Blood Tests (Chest work-up and Thyroid)
Chest X-Ray
CT scan of the Chest
Ultrasound of the heart
Ultrasound of the abdominal aorta
Treadmill stress test
MRI of the Brain

It seem like you may have the condition called metabolic syndrome. Diet and exercise are usually the best way to reduce your risk. Your doctor can help you with advice on diet and exercise
