General question about Atrial Fibrillation

I’m a 21 year old male. My father has atrial fibrillation. I was told that it is hereditary. How likely is it that I have the same condition?

OK. His brother also had signs of it, which is one reason I asked. Thank you for the information.

There are several hereditary conditions which may predispose you to atrial fibrillation. But, if your heart is normal in structure and function and you have no other medical problems, you have a low likelihood of getting atril fibrillation.
