Sudden strong Heartbeat!

Hi there,
I am a 27yr old female. I keep experiencing a sudden strong heart beat, accompanied by weakness in my arms, slight trembling, a full feeling in my chest and exhaustion. Around two months ago i had some sort of seizure and was in hospital for a week. While in hospital i had a CAT scan with thankfully came back clear. I haven't been fully well since leaving hospital and I recently returned to my own doctor who perscribed "efexor XL" tablets as she believed I may have been experiencing panic attacks.
I am worried as despite taking the medication I am still experiencing the strong heart beat and it has now started to wake me up during the night and I cannot return to sleep until it stops, which can take up to 1/2hr. I'm also feeling a "wushing or slightly flapping sensation in my ears, which comes with the heart beat. I dont generally feel anxious and have no idea what is causing my heart to do this.
These episodes start and subside without warning. I am pretty confused and any advise you can offer on this would be greatly appretiated.
Thank You,
Jessie.

I wanted to post my results from a stem cell transplant i had in Feb.

I have pulmonary hypertension violent heart palpitation and exhaustion. After bothering my local Dr. for three years i went to the mayo and was diagnosed they said the avg life expectancy was three to five years . Don't get me wrong they are  the best. But i have three small kids so i had to fight.  Long story short I had a pap of high 80's the mayo got it down to 60's with revadio and I'm at forty now with the stem cells. My mean heart pressure was forty and is now twenty four which is normal. So I'm very close to normal . They are having off the chart success with heart enlargement  also. Stem cells are the future

It sounds like you need a 24 hour monitor or an event monitor to see if you are having abnormal heart beats.  You need to know what the heart rhythm is during these episodes.
