Aortic Valve Replacement

I have moderate AI. Just had my Stress-Echo today (50 years old) and hit 18 minutes so good health. In anticipation of one day having to have my aortic valve replaced, I am wondering how cardiologists go about referrals to surgeons. I live in Seattle but read/hear that the Cleveland Clinic is the best place for this procedure. Should I fly to Cleveland and schedule a stress-echo with them to begin my assessment/rapport or just wait (maybe years?) until I need a valve replaced and then schedule surgery there "sight unseen"?  Any suggestions?  Thanks

With moderate AI it is difficult to predidict if and when you will need surgery. A stress echo done anywhere has information that can be used irrespective of site of surgery. If you plan to have surgery at a particular place, the doctors following your AI can guide you when to start getting evaluated for surgery at that site.
