Complication after hysterectomy

My mother recently had hysterectomy on 26th May 2008 to treat her uterine fibroids. She was discharged from hospital this monday. In the hospital initially she had some vomiting. Whatever she eat she vomited. but then that was cured as she used to cough and then the vomiting started. So the doctors gave her some medicine for cough and then vomiting also stopped.
But after coming to home, she has developed various gastritis problems in 3-4 days or so it seems. Either she has great pain in her stomach and then goes to stool every 1 hour (wherein the pain aggravates) or she vomits the food (twice in 4 days). Thus she cannot keep anything in her stomach. What seems to be the problem? Is this any particular complication of hysterectomy?

I had full hysterectomy. This sounds all familiar to me. My first 2 weeks i experienced several different things. I certainly would follow up with her Dr. and let them know. I would think if it continues, there could be more to look into. I didn't see where my comment was listed to you. hope this goes through.

No it has nothing to do with the hysterectomy. It is most likely just a reaction to the medication. She needs to tell her doctor so they can either change the medication or give her something to stop the stomach issues.
