Is it is, or crohn's

My husband and I both have digestive issues. Several times a day either one of us is in the bathroom. He had ulcers a few years ago, and mine usually begin around my cycle. Mother one of us know what's going on with our digestive system issues, and both need help. He can't eat normally. He goes a few days a week without eating, or only eating one meal a day, if hes lucky. We both have been eating as healthy as possible considering our tight food budget. We drink milk without antibiotics or hormones, whole grain or whole wheat bread and pasta, limit our red meat, drink plenty of water, no artificial sweeteners allowed since they cause me migraines, and I make more food from scratch than boxed meals.

Did you intend to type IBS as in Irritable Bowel Syndrome
or IC as in Interstitial Cystitis?
The milk you're drinking is better, but either one of you may still have an issue with either lactose or casein intolerance
which  all dairy products contain naturally, unless the label says "lactose-free".
The same with whole wheat foods, which are definitely better, but you may still have a wheat or gluten sensitivity.
For suspected ulcers, look into "demulcent herbs" like aloe,
licorice root, slippery elm, etc. which help soothe, repair and protect inflamed internal tissue.
I take it you're possibly on a tight budget and if you don't have health insurance, it's tough to pay out of pocket to see doctors.
Personally, I choose not to see doctors, as I have enough knowledge to self-treat most conditions and without meds and reserve using their services only
for acute conditions, emergencies, etc.
You may find a lot of good information on the Specific
Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) website.
The SCD program has help many people with IBS, Celiac's,
Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis and so on.
Best wishes,
Niko
