Lazy Bowel Problems

I have a Lazy Bowel, unless I take a laxative I just dont poop, It takes a long time to work up to about 12 hours.  Then the poop goes from normal to diarrhea I never get an urge to go, without the laxitive.  I've tried natural things like prunes, rhubarb, fruit, oats, bran nothing works anyone got any suggestions!

I, too, have a sluggish colon.  I have found that eating a handful of prunes several times a day and especially before bed, helps me. Drinking lots and lots of water too. It's frustrating because I often get lots of smelly gas too. I do find as I get older that trying to not stress about it or anything does help.

Well I used to have it, I still do really! I drank at least two litres of water a day, maybe even more, and it helped a bit but it hasn't helped a whole deal. It's also best to try not to stress about it too much, I know it's easier said than done, but stress makes it worse. Try to find some tea that works for constipation and no matter what, keep trying things. What I also did was excersised more, especially sit-ups because that got the bowels moving and helped me.
