hey dont know if your blond but im sure your not dizzy {great name}
anxiety and depression go like peas and carrots in ibs ,i too have anxiety and yeah ended up with ibs .some of us are just more prone to it than others.im makes us no different from anybody else our stomach and digestion process are just a little more sensitive to certain foods or situitions thats all.
anxiety will also cause diarrhea on its own as well and like the others said above maybe take it easy on the achohol{esp if you are on meds}
i too get nervous going out mostly in the morning if my ibs is playing but in time and with some learning u will find a pattern to this and the solution
there is great resourses in this forum and u will find a lot of people with things in common with you so have a look around and keep posting
best of luck
I agree with snoozies43, alchohol, caffeine, and white sugars are all stimulants that will worsen the affect of your IBS. Coffee and alchohol also work as dieuretics the above making you urinate excessively, they also work as laxatives which will increase your bathroom visits. IBS, you should be staying away from to much acidic foods like coffee, alchohol, and white sugars.
I know it is hard and I don't know your situation but I went through the same thing. I am a recovering alchoholic with help of course. Just ask for help if you feel you need it because I really hope you can feel better.
Good Luck
If you have noticed the anxiety b/4 you thought it was IBS.It could very well be that you have suffered Depression and anxiety b/4/ I can tell you this.. When my son left for the Military I started eating totally unbalanced diet...I ended up crying, and fearfull.I now know that i have IBS..after 3 yrs of trying to figure out what had happened to me. My Doctor said it could have been an underlying problem for awhile, but flared up when son left.Your diet plays a huge roll in what you feel. However I would certainly talk to a gastroentologist, b/4 you think of anything else that could be the problem. BTW..stay off the alchohol..Been there, and avoid caffiene for sure, as best you can.
Good luck keep us posted.:O)
Is there anyway you can pinpoint a time or situation as to why you have anxiety? Have you had it your whole life or is this something new? I have been a nervous person my whole life, every since i can remember, and it has taken such a toll on me and my health has suffered from it, i am now having trouble not getting nervous even though im on something, i dont know if it is the lexapro that makes me a little nervous or what! Keep me informed as to how you are doing and maybe we can figure something out for you to help you start to enjoy life more.

i take medication for my depression such as fluexotine which dont help atall lol . i am jus new to this site 2day and happy there is others who experiance the same fing . i understand how u feel it is a bad thing .. and i makes u feel panicky going out which i do . what do i do next hun i really need help x
First, i want to ask if you are any medication for your depression and anxiety? and if so, what are you taking? Also, i have similar problems with going places because i suffer from my nerves which in turn make me have to go to the bathroom, it seems to be getting worse, especially since i starting taking lexapro for my anxiety, my movements seem to be looser which in turn make me more nervous about going places, its a vicious cycle, and it stinks. I am trying to find a way to deal with my nerves, i really want to start taking yoga or some kind of meditation classes,. its hard for me to exercise because my stomach bothers me alot, so i want to try this root first, hoping if i can get a handle on my nerves, then my bathroom situation will be better.
let me know how you are doing
