digestive problems?

Hi. I really don't know where else to post this.
I'm a 25 year old female. I have been having problems like this for a while. I have not been disgnosed with IBS, I don't know whats wronge. I have come here to see if any of you have any ideas.
First of, I tend to have bad eating habits. When I was younger I was dignosed with EDNOS, and then with anorexia. I would starve myself and purge what I did eat, and I would also abuse laxatives.
Lately I have been having those problems again. I'm sure that all isn't helping my other problems.
I am constinpated, all the time. Without laxatives, I maybe move my bowls once a week, sometimes longer. I have been having problems with bloating, and I feel tired all the time, no matter how much sleep I get. I have been feeling nauseated. Eating doesn't make these problems better, lately it seems it makes it worse sometimes. I had been drinking a lot of chocolate milk (for about a week, I'd only consume chocolate milk, about 800 to 1,200 calories worth a day...stupid, I know) well I had some yesterday, and again today, not a lot and I have been eating. It seems it's making me feel sick now, nauseated, bloated. I don't know whats wrong. I have had problem with moving my bowls for a long time, even when I ate well. I'm nervous about what could be causing my symptoms. What could it be?

Please, see a specialist again about your eating disorder. It is normal that you dont have BM when you eat so little. You dont only starve yourself, but all the important bacteria in your gut, too. IBS is a common thing to follow anorexia. Additionally, the longer you abuse laxatives, the worse your constipation will get. This is because you interfere with the nerves in your gut. I know it is not easy for someone who has a history with EDNOS and anorexia, but go back to the specialists, stop taking any laxatives, and start eating balanced again. You might think you ate good, but this could as well be the anorexia talking. If you had a fair share of veggies and fruits, as well as you drank enough, your bowels should have recovered from the abuse after 6 months or so. Good luck.

Welcome to the IBS community!  I think this could be IBS, or it could be something related to your past history of an eating disorder.  Have you tried eliminating anything from your diet (like lactose)?
