Yes, but depression can make all of your symptoms worse.  Have you tried antidepressants before?  Why would you think they make the symptoms worse?

I've had the same problem, really bad for yrs. but now it's getting better. I removed all grains, eggs, dairy, wheat, sugar. I only eat whole food and take supplements. I back on my feet, out of bed and it only gets better. No doctor could steer me in the right direction. No tests found any major issue except for fructose, gluten intolerance. Try the AIP diet and follow it to a tee. Depression came from being so sick, it's not the cause! I eventually added eggs & it works for me.

I am not saying that your IBS is caused by depression.  I am saying that it could be worsened by the dression that you have developed.  I would recommend that appointment with the psychiatrist.

It sounds like you might have some constipation due to not enough water intake.  I would recommend seeing someone about your depression, as this can make symptoms worse.  You could also be having problems because of all the antibiotics you took.

( i have used colfac, debridate, lomotil, imodium, opmeprazol, esomeprazole, rifaximin h.pylori course, probiotics and many more antibiotics)now the problem is indigestion, heaviness in stomach, air in abdomen, no appetite, dont like to drink water, sticky paste like stool unable to pass easily. im living disturbed life becz, im very weak due to this problem, poor concentration, blur vision, low mood, no social life and depressed life, but im 100% sure i have no psychological problem it is all due to gastro problem.
