I have yearly blood tests, wouldn't something show up there if I had a problem. I had a blood test about a month ago and they said everything was great. Even my colesterol. Which is usually high, it runs in my family.
Thanks for responding. I am waiting on the doctor or his nurse to call with a referral. What scares me is that I have called them twice last week and they have not called me back. So my mind and looking things up in the internet is making me crazy. It being the weekend and all. The internet can be a great tool but I have let my mind wander and I have everything I see. I have stoped doing that though. Just gonna wait til tomorrow and go get my results so I can look at them myself. Maybe that will make me understand more. Also need something for the pain. any suggestions on a pain releiver??
Thanks so much,
BECKY
Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Symptoms of a herniated disc vary greatly depending on the position of the herniated disc and the size of the herniation. It may present with leg pain and nerve-related symptoms such as tingling or numbness, muscle spasm, weakness in certain muscles in one or both legs, and the loss of bladder and/or bowel control, which are symptoms of a specific type of nerve root compression called cauda equina syndrome. It would be best that you inform your doctor about this and also to rule out possible kidney diseases. Additional tests may need to be done.
Take care and regards.
