Trace protein in urine and back pain

Hi l have a home urine strip  test kit, in the morning l get a negative for protein result but in the afternoon l get trace level protein result and negative for blood always,  have been getting some lower back pain on the left side and some lower left abdomen pain ,, do you think it could be a kidney problem
