im 14
and ive been getting pain in mmy kidneys.
i had a kidney infection in 2005
but i dont want to tell my mjm, because i dont want to scare her

is there any chance io could get a scan without my mum there?

yes, your mom would be hurt if she did not know.  It is most likely
an infection and a doctor can tell just with a urine sample and
you may not even need a scan.  Most of the time the things we
worry about aren't as big as we think they are!

However a kidney infection ignored can make your petty sick and
cost your mom more worry and heartache in the long run!

im not an expert, but assuming that you are a brit and on the NHS, i dont think so.  but im sure your mum would rather know than not.  you should tell her and get it sorted right away!
