Hi, nausea, headache and kidney pain can be related with nephropathy (kidney disorder), urine test and blood urea and creatinine are usually done for diagnosis. Kidney stones do cause similar kind of symptoms; ultrasound is quite diagnostic for stones.

Please get the investigations done to rule out these possibilities (blood sugar too)

i had twins that had twin to twin transfusion and lost the preg in march but during that time i had numerous ultrasounds, an mri, urine tests, blood tests and etc. would they have found that then if i had that. and they tested me for diabetes and all was good, i did just find out i was anemic, was border line for a while. but i think i may have a bad uti as well  which i was told could have these symtoms if gone untreated, bc i do have the burning as well, been taking over counter meds for uti and has  been working a lil so i don't know. thank you for the advice, i have doc appt next week

OK SO FIRST TWO POST ARE TO GIVE A LIL HISTORY ON THE SITUATION CAN ANYONE ANSWER MY LAST POST?

Hi,

If you have burning sensation associated with urination and fatigue, nausea, and headaches, it is quite possible that you have a UTI. A UTI can be localized to the bladder or can infect any structure along the tract from the kidney to the urethra. A long-standing lower UTI can cause kidney infection as it ascends.

This can result in localized damage to kidney structures and can impair kidney function. The kidneys need to function effectively to excrete toxic products as the buildup of these products in the body can result in weakness, body pain, headaches, higher blood pressure, etc. Anemia can affect the mucosal integrity of all body structures and can predispose to infections and delayed healing of infections.

You will need to have a few basic tests done to identify if there is any kidney-related problem. Even if you had the urine and blood tests in March, they will need to be repeated to check for the current state of function.

Over-the-counter drugs will not cure a UTI as bacteria can only be eliminated with antibiotics. The infection will need to be identified and treated with suitable antibiotics.

Ensure that you keep fluid intake over 2000 ml per day, avoid caffeine and alcohol, add citrus fruits and juices in diet, and maintain hygiene.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
