Cancan I have I stone that won't pass

I went to the ER for severe side pain. The dr done a ct scan but nothing showed up. I had blood in my urine. He said I had passed a stone. It's been about a month and I have pain in one or both sides between my ribs and hips. The pain comes and goes. Some days I feel fine. I am also on Xanax for anxiety. Could the pain be from another stone that won't pass or could it be my anxiety?

Hello,
If the pain is between your ribs and hips, it's probably not a kidney stone. I've had several and the pain is always in the lower back region (they call it flank pain). Have you noticed any pain in that part?

Thanks. I don't have insurance so it's hard for me to go to a regular dr but sometimes it feels like ripping or tearing in my side. I hope it goes away.

Hi  I'd check with your doctor to see what's happening.   Maybe your doctor may look into reflux (GERD), too .. but I'm sure on line it will be hard to get an exact answer without a physical checkup.  Hope you feel better soon
