two 4 mm stones ,causing NPT

I suffer from Nocturnal penile tumescence that wakes me up at night 3 or 4 times(every every night ) to get me urinate , even if the urine volume is tiny !!! the doctor asked me to make blood and urine check ,prostata size ,and kidneys ,all was normal (blood, urine, prostata size) except my left kidney has 2 stone of 4mm (inside the kidney) , 4 months passed and I drink huge amount of water ,and other drinks (lemon, orange etc..).. but I still have the same problem of Nocturnal penile tumescence, and bad sleeping ... the doctor told me kidney stones can lead to Nocturnal penile tumescence...

my questions:

1- why kidney stones can cause Nocturnal penile tumescence , if the bladder is not full of urine, and the urine volume is tiny?

2- why kidney stone stubbornly stick cling attach to the kidney wall, if the kidney are filled with liquids ? !

3-  is there any hope that those stones will pass by their own?

thanx

mimocappo,

I have no idea what your penile condition is so I cannot answer you on your first question. I have had stones for well over 30 some years and have never had that condition, so to me it's obvious that stones don't cause it.

As to you second question, the kidney stone usually has jagged edges and as it passes through your kidney, it scrapes the nerves on the inside of your kidney causing all the severe pain they cause.

Your third question answer is possibly yes they may pass on their own and are, at their size, quite capable of doing just that. Whether they do or not is a completely other question. I have had stones that size pass on their own and I have had stones that size that the physician had to remove. There is no definitive and absolute answer to give you.

I wish you luck and please let us know how you are doing.
