Leukemia and Blood Disorders

Can an ANA positive test (antinuclear antibodies) and a high antithrombin count be a possibility for a blook disorder?

When we found out my son had cancer his white blood count was 4 times higher then it was sposed to be, and is hemoglobin was 3 he had blood trans for the first 2 days at hosp and about 1 a week for about 2 months.....good luck and please let me know whats goning on...st.jude is a wonderful hospital....

The rest of the blood test have come in and she also has a low white blood cell count of 4.1 (limits 4.5-13) so it's not that low, and her MCHC (hemoglobin?) came back high...  This is for my 13 year old daughter.  They are sending us to St. Jude.  Maybe we will have answers soon.

Talk to your doctor.  An ANA is a test for rheumatologic disorders.  Don't know about a high antithrombin count, seems like it's more of a problem when that's low.
