Lymphoma?

Hi i have been under alot of stress at work recently. Have been signed of work with deppresion and anxiety. A couple weeks ago i took an overdose because it all got to much to take. Stupid i know and i regret it and feel guity about it now. I was admitted to a ward for the night which was absolutely mortifying for me. They judge you badly in there for taking an overdose they dont wonder why they just think your wasiting there time which i suppose i was. But it goes alot deeper than that which i will explaine now. I havnt been physically well for a number of months. Ive had terrible burning itchy skin from my head down to my toes literally. I scratch and scratch till i bleed and am covered in scares. I get red spots on my skin which do blister when i scratch them. I have always thought it was bed bugs as i have seen a few in my bedroom. But the itching is everywhere even on my face. It happens during the day when im completely covered and just put on clean freshly washed clothes. I have anemia and vitamin D defiency. Also have rosacea on my face. I have bad hayfeaver and always sneezing. I have ibs issues also. Am very tired all the time. Though im not loosing weight  im more putting it on. I dont have night sweats. Do you have to have all the lymphoma symptoms to have it?
Anyway going back to the hospital episode. While i was in there it really freaked me out because a couple months ago i had a couple of skin punctures on my leg. I havent yet had the results from it yet. I kept hearing them say mrs b has lymphoma then that reason why she taken an overdose because she is worried and the nurses agreed with him. They didnt tell me directly because it was a hospital ive never been to before. But i even heard this when i was sent to the ward so i cant of been somthing else. I might just be my paranoia but it was so clear to me and i heard one of the nurses say to somone else dont judge the women in room 9 because she is sick she has lymphoma and she doesnt know yet. Im really really really freaked out and sooo stressed with it. Im trying to not think the worst but its hard not to after going through that. Please help am at the end of teather x

Another factor here is your allergies, which tends to say (to me, anyway) that you have a very reactive immune system.

You also want to look at the prevalence of the other diseases in the differential diagnosis.

sorry, yes you have seen and compared photos.

You probably have also read about likely age groups, but that any age can get it.

have you compared yourself  to photos online? Here are some, from a good site: http://www.aafp.org/afp/1999/0515/p2809.html

I don't know a lot about skin lymphomas. I'm thinking that a person would notice spreading of the spots, rather than them appearing at the same time on both legs.

Is it possible that there was some error and your doc's office should have contacted you but failed to do so? Is it possible to call and ask about what your file says?

no i know that but it might spread. there are pictures of lymphoma skin rashes that are on both legs. and also a picture where a women has bites on her hands like mine. when i scratch the bites on my hands they weep and get sore. well they would wouldnt they. I just know what i heard in the hospital and i wasnt hearing things

hi, a systemic immune reaction could make for rashes and itching

a CBC is an inexpensive test, if a person has bruising then that's a good test to have done. In fact, it' possible for them to print out the results right when you take the test. Do they give copies in U.K.?

Do you get bruising anywhere else? Do get bleeding gums?

Sure, you can upload pictures to your profile. But you said leg(s)  plural? A lymphoma wouldn't jump across from one leg to the other. That should set your mind at ease :)

would the systemic immune reaction cause t cell lymphoma? I have looked up bug bites as a trigger for immune disorders and there is a link.
I havnt had a cbc im worrid my doctor will just think im being silly. Even though i do get significant bruising on my legs.  also my head itchess alot. Ive basically convinced my self i have lymphoma so really im just asking for infomation so i can prepare my self for this diagnoses

About bruising, have you had a CBC lately? (looking for low platelets)

Have you looked:
Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma Differential Diagnoses

The presence of the biting bugs also really stands out - maybe eventually causing a systemic immune reaction.

I cant remember it being tender and yeah i think the skin was rough. I have looked up t cell lymphoma in the past and that does worry me. It worries me because maybe i only have the early stages of it and it wont matter if they weight to tell me. I have alot of the symptoms it discribes. My skin has red raised plaques and is very itchy all over. My legs have also discoloured and there is thicker skin in place. Also my legs bruise alot now i think i mentioned that.

In the U.S., if they didn't tell a patient for months (and in most cases didn't start treatment), then they be sued. If a test came back positive for lymphoma, the patient would soon get a call and told to come in and see the doc as soon as possible. In most cancers, they want to start treatment right away.

If your node under your arm was much larger in the past, then went down a lot, that points to it being from an infection. Would you say that it was 'tender' at all? Cancerous nodes usually aren't painful or tender.

How could it catch on clothing? Was the skin very rough?

Still, it would be wise to also check neck and groin to be sure, those are the common sites.

hi thanks your reply. Yes i have a swollen node in my left arm pitt for a while now. I can feel it just under the skin it is not very big. It has swollen up quite big in the past maybe because i had an infection. It wasnt painfull and still isnt though i could feel it when it catched on my clothing but still no pain. I have also had chills and felt ache on and off for a few months. I can remember the sister in my ward on the phone maybe it was to my hospital she said "she just want an answer". If i had lymphoma and it wasnt very advance would they have still told me while i was in Hospital?

Hi, if you had lymphoma that was diagnosed in a test taken a couple of months ago, then they would in no way keep that from you - they'd instead likely start treatment... especially if it was a T-cell lymphoma that affects the skin.

You don't happen to have any swollen nodes, do you?
