Occipital Gland Swelling and Slight Headache, Please help!

Hi, I am a 20 year old male who is generally very healthy, but recently since i moved into a new college house I have not been doing so well.  I have multiple swollen occipital lymph nodes and have very minor headaches.  I have never had a headache in my life until now, so I am not sure if it is due to anxiety/stress or if it is an actual symptom.  I do not have any symptoms of a cold or flu, but my doctor said that I have a white mucus-like substance in the back of my throat, so he put me on antibiotics for now.  My question is,

what is the likelyhood that this could actually be a bacterial infection as opposed to a viral one?

Also, I had unprotected heterosexual vaginal sex/sex in general for the first time almost 6 weeks ago, so I am not sure if this could also be a symptom of HIV.  I know tests are the only reliable source, but I am curious to see if this is one of the more common ones.  I do not have swollen lymph nodes anywhere else on my body and have never had a fever higher than 99.6 or so.  Please help me!

Sounds like your recent symptoms are all better except for the lymph nodes in the back of your head and headache. Your doctor should have only given you antibiotics if they thought you had enough signs and tests for a bacterial infection (like strep throat).  Strep is more common when you have fever, white spots on enlarged red tonsils and swollen lypm nodes.  Doesn't sound like you had some of those signs.  You should talk to your doc about your worries about HIV.  Even if it's not, you can think about getting tested for chlamydia that doesn't necessarily have any symptoms.  There are other sexually transmitted diseases to worry about too.

Also, i forgot to add that within the past 5 weeks or so, I have had a stomach flu, a possible UTI that somehow cleared overnight from what 2 culture results claim, and more recently within the past week a slightly cramped stomach which feels better now except after I exercise or work out.  I hope this helps even though it may all be irrelevant to my question.
