i have lumps in my pelvic area 21 yo female.

Hi all, so i dont know what to do, the other night i was taking a bath and i noticed a few lumps in my pelvic area, between my pubic bone and where my leg meets, theres probably 4 or 5 lumps, im concerned but do not want to make a doctor appt if its not necessary. are you supposed to be abvle to feel your lymph nodes down there??? they did not hurt, they were hard and i could roll them around almost. I also do sweat alot under the arms, but i have done that since middle school. i do not have any stds, im married and monogomos. any insight would be great, my mind has been wrapped around this ever since i found the lumps

I have 2 lumps on my left groin area and the doctor said it was foliculitis from shaving but now my leg is hurting and my groin is aching should I be worried or is it just foliculitis?

I was wondering what your end diagnosis was from the doctor.  I'm also experincing the same lumps in my groin area.  I lost some weight but I think this was due to some medication i was on.  I get night sweats every few nights or so.  I too have been researching and am now a little worried.  I do not have insurance, so it's hard for me to get to the doctor.

Hi.
Perhaps the doctor does not know yet that your lymph nodes increased in size and number.  If this will give you peace of mind, I suggest you go to the walk-in clinic for prompt evaluation.
Good luck.

so i called and made an appointment with a doctor and they said it would be 3 weeks bedore they could see me...meanwhile im a little freaked out becausethe lymph nodes are a little larger then before on is probably as long as an inch. and ive noticed i can feel the nodes in my armpits and behind my knees.........none of them hurt. so what im asking you is...should i go to the walk in clinic as soon as possible? or should i wait for my appointment which is 3 weeks from friday? I think if they were worried about lymphoma at the walk in they would refer me to an oncologist before i would even see my family doctor. im just confused and a little concerned...it seems im bumpy all over now :)

Hi.
I agree with your decision to seek consult with a doctor so that you can be evaluated fully.
As for your question on the size of a lymph node to be considered enlarged, I’m afraid there is really no exact rule to that.  Lymph nodes are usually not palpable.
Please do post your updates.
Good luck on your check-up.

no fever, and yes ive lost about 80 pounds, but ive been working on that, i mean so i guess it would be hard to know if that was a symptom, and no no night sweats. they are still swollen today. im considering going to the dr, i just dont want to look silly if they are normal. since ive lost weight im finding things i didnt know i had LOL :)

Hi.
Do you have unexplained fever, weight loss, and night sweats?  These are just some of the symptoms of lymphoma.
A pulled groin muscles may produce swelling of the lymph nodes to a minimal degree.  But it usually resolves after several days.
In order to have a definite diagnosis, a physician consult is needed.  A biopsy of the lymph node may be needed to see if you indeed have lymphoma or not.
Stay positive.

They are not round, they are kind of oblong shape, and i can roll them around, i have one on each side and they are about the same location on either side of my pubic bone, thats why i think they are lymph nodes, but i guess i just dont know if theyve always been that big or if this is because of a problem, they are about the size of a small grape, a coupe weeks ago while working out i was doing an inner thigh exercize and feel like i pulled my groin muscles because they are still sore to this day,, could lymph nodes swell because of a muscle injury??? I have no other signs of a vaginal infection or bladder infection, so im confused. im convinced i have lymphoma.....you know what your head does to you when you start to research.

Hi.
How would you characterize the lumps?
Do you have other signs and symptoms like fever, vaginal discharge, or difficulty in urination?
Lymph nodes in the inguinal area can be caused by genitourinary tract infections.  However, there are other conditions that can present with enlarged lymph nodes in the inguinal area.  Examples are lymphomas and metastatic carcinomas.
I would suggest consult with your primary care physician for further evaluation.
Good luck.
