Do i have Leukemia?

Ive had all kinds of symptoms over the last few months, i started out feeling really dizzy and short of breath, but that seemed to fade away until today when i felt that way again. then i noticed i had three random bruises on my arm. since then i went to uni and ive been ill since i started about a month ago. what really worried me was when i coughed up blood one morning, but that hasnt happened since. then i started getting pain in my right leg which at one point was really severe, it kept me awake. and its still there now but less so than it was and my whole right leg feels strange and my right knee is really stiff and i feel like im always limping. what made me think it was leukemia was when i noticed a rash of bruises on my right leg which terrifed me and ive since noticed lots of little bruises on my leg. i also forgot to mention that i had a pain in my lower right ribs which lasted for about a month but seems to have passed now. i am genuinely terrified. i know that these are all symptoms of leukemia and im so scared. im trying to attribute it to other illnesses but im struggling. i also wanted to know if i had leukemia would it show in a blood test i had about a month ago??? its also worth mentioning that i have losta lot of weight recently for no apparent reason

I have lower than normal LY counts and higher than normal Nuet counts and im still being tested for both Lymphoma and Leukemia as we speak. I also have an enlarged spleen and enlarged and fatty liver, my pain is from my spleen on my left side, not the right. I have no pain from my liver being enlarged but the spleen pain is fairly constant, it doesn't resolve itself. To put your mind at ease and hopefully get some answers, make another doc appointment and have your blood work retested. If there was anything alarming or of concern im sure they would have noticed it already though.

Yes, if you had leukemia it probably would have shown up on the CBC blood count test.

hi, thank you so much for your responce. my leg did at one point have some redness but that seems to have gone but i doesnt seem swollen. my left foot has also recently become quite numb and tingly and bruises have apperared on it. so just to clarify if i did have leukemia would it have shown in ablood test i had around a month ago. as for the pain in my lower right ribs it felt like the pain was under the ribs but i generally stopped worring about that when my bloods came back fine but since then ive had the other symptoms like bruising ect so i just really wanted to know if i had leukemia would it have shown on the blood count i had a moth ago ??? thanks

Hi, your problems can come from other causes.

If your bruising and bleeding was from leukemia, you would have a low platelet count. You also probably have seen some other cell count be high (such as lymphocytes) as the result of a leukemia.

Regardless, you really should see a doctor again.

Does your painful leg also have redness and swelling?

Could the "pain in my lower right ribs" have been the liver under the ribs, or was it actually in the rib bones? Clotting proteins are made the liver.
