elevated hematocrit, low lymphocytes

Would a low (significantly outside the normal range) lymphocyte% count be consistent with Polycythemia vera?
The Lymphocyte Abs number is low normal.
Any insights would be appreciated.

Thank you-
The hematocrit is very high
The white blood cell count is at top of normal range
neutrophils are high
platelets are middle of normal range
lymphocytes are low as percentage and low normal as absolute number
i guess the low percentage of the lymphocytes is a result of the unusually high number of neutrophils.
how standard a feature of pcv is high platelet count? do you sometimes find pcv with normal platelet count but other elevations described?

ny1968,

Polycythemia vera is a disease that is classified as a chronic myeloproliferative disorder. It is characterized by an increase in red blood cell mass/hematocrit.  It can also be accompanied by an elevated platelet count or white blood cell count (typically neutrophils are the type of white blood cell that are increased).

Lymphocytes (percent or absolute) are not generally decreased.  If this is the only abnormality, the diagnosis is not likely polycythemia vera.

Hope this was helpful.  Good luck.
