Beware of Amox-Clav anti-biotic!

Be aware that the anti-biotic Amox-Clav can cause your ALT and AST to rise. This happened to me. It's been nearly 9 years since my liver transplant and in the monthly bloodwork, the AST and ALT were always normal. I had a possible infection on my hip scar and the doctor ordered Amox-Clav. That month's bloodwork came back with risen ALT and AST levels. Ask your doctor if it is safe to take AMox-Clav anti-biotic before you take it!
