High liver enzymes with symptoms.

Let me start off with I've had stomach issues my whole life, acid reflux, ibs etc. I am a 26 yr old male, 6'0, 200 lbs caucasion. I have been drinking around 4-5 8% beers for the past year and before that the same amount of lower volume alcohol and have been taking norco 7.5/325 for two years up to 4 a day for herniated discs. Last year my stomach seemed to get worst then my ast/alt were 32/34 everything else normal but I was constantly nauseous. My gp referred me to a specialist, two ultrasounds were done with no abnormal findings about two months apart. Upper and lower scopes done all normal. So I let it go but recently for about two months I have been throwing up yellow bile in the morning so i revisited the issue with my Dr. Blood tests alt/ast were 152/154 ggt was like one point low, white blood cell count slightly low, negative for all forms of hep etc so am waiting on an abdominal ct scan and its over a month to get back into GI specialist. Doc didn't take me off norco just told me to stop drinking after second alt/ast test came in at same level a month later. I haven't quit drinking yet because my nerves are shot waiting. So while i lnow you can't diagnose me what would you say likelihood of serious liver failure is at this point with what you have? I plan to quit regardless and have been tapering to avoid withdrawl. I do have a "beer belly" not sure if that's ascites or not gp didn't mention it. Also said my liver doesnt feel swollen etc. Also the nights before my tests I did drink heavily they both just happened to be events for work. Could this be a temp raise? Any wisdom, advice etc would help on the subject. Online and in medical journals its all mortality rates this and that and its just making my nerves worse. Also anything I should look for as a medical emergency? Jaundice obviously being one but I mean is dying that quick? Will I turn yellow and die or should I be looking for other things to head to the e.r.? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about the fatty liver. I had a ct scan scheduled but due to the amount I've had due to neck injury they thought better of it. This concerns me because they have yet to order an mri and my Dr wants to leave it up to the specialist who I won't see until October 18th. This scares me as I want to know what's wrong now. I have abstained from alcohol and feel a lot better, bp has lowered to normal range, resting heart rated dropped to 70 from 90/100  and even lost around 10 lbs. This is all well and good but I'm still concerned about my liver and no one is helping as fast as I'd like. This is causing me a ton of anxiety and making sleep impossible.

Hi, the liver enzymes are raised when the liver cells are damaged, so they spill into the bloodstream. Are there any fatty liver changes in the liver? This could further substantiate that the liver damage could be due to alcohol. So, the first step would be to quit drinking alcohol as this will prevent further damage to the liver. Then you can re test your enzymes after a few months to see how they are progressing. Regards.
