protein intake and elevated liver enzymes

does excess protein intake (like eating excess tuna fish) increase liver enzymes ast and alt?

i had excess tuna fish. which contains oil also. my liver enzymes increased again.

Hi, unlikely that taking high protein diet will increase the liver enzymes levels. The enzymes are stored inside the hepatocytes and when these cells are damaged they spill over into the bloodstream raising their levels. Regards.
