Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)

Good morning, I was diagnosed with NAFLD with some scarring 2 years ago.
I have been itching mainly from the waist up but can be all over, been a daily problem for a few months now, could it be related to my liver disease? I know its nor to do with being to warm because I get get it regardless of the weather. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Debbie Plymouth

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question.
Saw the consultant on Wednesday and my liver enzymes are normal again, he said it was down to me losing weight. :))

The first thing that comes to my mind is that you need to have blood work done to see how your liver is doing. Are you aware the scaring in the liver is what causes cirrhosis? Have you since made adjustments to your diet to help prevent any further scaring?
As you probably already know the liver can cause sever itching. It is unknown why but its a very common side effect.

I sure hope this isnt the case and maybe its just dry skin, I want to make sure you know its worth getting checked on. I wish you the best.
