Red Palms

Why have I had red hands for all my life?? I was diagnosied with hyperthyroidism at age 12/or so... I am now 37 have 2 boys 16 and 6yrs old,after I had my youngest my c-section because he was breatch,I felt like a murderous skitzoid! My doctor took bloods and it came back that I was now Underactive,Now nearly 6yrs later i have gained weight,(which never even happened when and after I was pregnant!) But i have also always had red palms? why????
