hard liver

my doctor told my husband he has a hard liver and has to have labs every 3 months. what does he that mean? he did not ask his doctor what it mean?

A hard liver can be an indicator of liver disease. I would suggests that your husband see a really good gastroenterolgoist or helpatologist. I am very surprised his current doc is not asking for an ultrasound or CT scan.
