high bilirubin, high blood pressure.

hi i am a 30 year old male and i recently done a every two year medical. my bilirubin level was 34 and on all previous results were 14. Also my Albumin level was 50. My blood pressure also read higher then normal at 90/145.

i have been under quite a bit of strees lately, and i have a history of drug use, daily use of marijana for 10 years and recreational use of amphetamines/extacy.

my doctor reckoned it was gilberts disease. He doesn't know about my previous drug use.

should i get more tests?

thank you.

Im not sure what this kit is or how it works. My concern is that if it works as you may hope it still hasn't fixed your problem but only masks it. The problem is still going to be there and it still needs diagnosed and treated. I cant tell you what decision to make but you do have a reason for concern. You BP is still to high. Ideally you BP should be around 100 over 65.

Since your bilirubin tested so high and your blood pressure is terrible I am now wondering what your ALT/AST scores were? With your bilirubin that high were you diagnosed with jaundice? YES! You absolutely need more testing? Your liver is in trouble my friend. Also Take Kaneda's advice and come clean with your doctor. He/She only wants to help you and by you not telling them all your doing is making it harder.

If you want them to do their best and help you then do your best to help them. I wish you the best in all of this but take this advice and get treatment ASAP.

If you are concerned about the diagnosis, you should probably disclose your recreational drug use to your GP. This may affects his diagnosis and recommendations for follow up testing.
