please help, elevated ast alt and ldh

Just got blood work back after annual physical testing.

Ast 320
Alt 85
Ldh. 160
Total bilirubin 2.1

I have gilberts syndrom and bilirubin has been the only elevated test until now. Having no symtoms, stopped taking amoxicillin 2 weeks before test as prescribed for chest cold/flu, started vigour excercise 2 weeks before test, fasted lime i should before test.

Why the elevated levels?

Antibiotics have been know to affect liver enzymes, in both a hepatocellular and cholastatic manner. Amoxicillin can do this even after you've stopped taking it, but this is uncommon. Do you have any other symptoms like joint pains or rashes, no mild allergies to antibiotics?

Also, vigorous exercise can cause elevations in your AST levels as well, as you suspected. This may account for the elevation bias between the liver enzymes. So certainly getting your blood work redone, after clearing out for a few more weeks (maybe a month just to be sure), will give your doctor a more accurate bead on things.

Let us know if things work out for you, take care.
