upper right abdominal pain

Hi. I'm a 15 year old Asian female and recently I've been having some upper right abdominal pain, right under my ribcage. It's a mild to moderate pain that goes away and comes back all the time. I also have pain in my back but I'm not sure if my abdominal and back pain are related. Could this be anything serious? Thanks. I did not get a blood test at my last checkup b/c apparently the one I had 2 years ago was normal and being so young, I didn't need another one. Would you recommend me go get a blood test? Or any other tests? Thanks!

The gallstones may be possible to give these results but would advise a hep scan to be certain.In the meantime Try to drink as much water  as  possible to help flush out system.                   with best wishes         REVRAT

What you have described is what I'm going through and went to the doctor .
He told me I had a stone in my gallbladder the size of a big marble.
I am being operated on Tuesday to have the gallbkladder removed .
I think you should go to your doctor and get him to send you for tests to see if you have stones in your gallbladder

Dr.s told me I was to young to have gallstones when I was a few years older than you. You may have a small stone that gets into the bile duck occationally then goes back down. You should get blood work done anyway. For your peace of mind.

Ask the doctor for a Hepatitus panel - test for hep A, B and C.  

It might not be anything, but you would want to rule out that you don't have hepatitus of any kind....

Good luck!  You might just be still getting growing pains, so try not to worry, but see a doctor so that you can feel better soon.
