This is for my friend who is in Slovakia (EU). He does not speak English and has asked me to find the best possible advice on his problems with liver. Here is his story:Hello,My name is Dusan Harman. I am 28 years old my height is 192cm and weigh in at 107kg.I am looking for a help with my liver problems as well as help with decoding its results. I am looking for professional medical opinion and possible help.I have overcome hepatitis type A and type B and in 1996 my physician told me that I have a chronic inflammation of liver. Since then I have been hospitalized altogether 5 times in infectious diseases ward. I have visited regularly the post-hepatitis advisory service on a clinic till 1999.After this my values / numbers as in AST and ALT stabilized/leveled under 0.80 ,so I have stopped the visits to the advisory service. I still went ahead with annual check up.But, last year (2007) the numeric values in results of ALT have risen to 1.26, but I have not done anything since it was not rising afterwards.About 3 weeks ago same values of ALT have jumped to 4.6 and AST 2.1 and only two days later values have jumped rapidly to ALT 5.34 AST 2.27. I have been hospitalized in the infectious diseases ward again. I have been getting following: Lipovitan, Flavobion, Celaskon 3x1,daily 500ml glucose + 6 days with added “multibionta”. One week later: AST2.21 ALT 5.32 and after another week: ALT 7.12 AST 2.67. All of my other results, such are: I am very frustrated as well as desperate, because my physicians are constantly sending me for liver biopsy and don’t tell me anything else. At a time they told me that it is very likely a cirrhosis of liver , which is very bad , but I feel good in general, have no problem eating, appetite and have no problems with my stool either.I would like to kindly ask for Your help and opinion.Thank You in advance.
Sincerely; Dusan Harman (Humenne, Slovakia) .
P.S. If needed, I will supply all my results. Sorry for the crowded text
