HCC & CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery

Dear Dr. Schiano,

Do you or your colleagues have any experience using CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System on a single 2x3 cm HCC tumor who has failed to respond to 2 TACE and 2 PEI treatments? My tumor is in segment IV b between to two bile ducts and adjacent to the portal vein. I am about to have 5 sessions in the next two weeks. The fiducial marker was implanted last week.

My AFP is >1,000 and I am trying to get below 500 to be active again on the transplant waiting list. My MELD score is 36.

Thank you for your expertise.

Thank you doctor.

I am a patient of Dr. Norah Terrault here at UCSF. I will be her first patient to have this treatment. We will be documenting my experience, should UCSF decide that this treatment may be an option for others with HCC in the future.
I will let you know of our results if and when they become evident.

Warm regards,
Hector
