Help ...Liver Cancer

Last week, my relative has been diagnosed with primary liver cancer (have cirrhosis - hepatitis C) . My uncle has passed away from 9 months by the same cause (It is very common here in Egypt). I want to help him but I don't know how?

Are there some organizations in USA or Europe that support the treatment of cancer patients in poor countries with low cost?
Are medical trials ... good option (low cost)?
Could liver transplant possible option? How to find a donor?

HCV is indeed very common in egypt, and thus HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma).  there are no national organizations that help support/fund treatment and transplant, but individual transplant centers do, as we do at Mount Sinai.  Liver transplantation is the primary curative therapy if resection of the cancer is not feasible (most often not the case).  there are alternative approaches such as with a new medication sorafenib, or with radiofrequency ablation.  a colleague of mine native to Egypt, Hussien Elsiesy is now working in the liver transplant center in Abou Dhabi--you might also want to try and contact him.

i hope this is helpful
