Hep B Results

Hi    

Couple of months i descovered that i have Hep B positive
the test came with the following results

HBsAg        Detected
HBsAb        < 10 IU/L
HBcIgM       Not detected
HBcT          Detected

Platelets      139  Normal ( 150 - 450 )

Following are new test results

AST                           18 U/L
ALT                            22 U/L
GGT                          17 U/L
Alkaline Phosphatas  68 U/L
Protein                       74 U/L
Albumin                      47 U/L

HBV DNA quantitation       IU/ml     3.70 x 10^1

HBV DNA quantitation       log/(10)  1.57

Serum Alpha Fetoprotein  9 KIU/L

Anti-nuclear antibodies       Negative

Mitochondrial Ab.          <20         Normal <20
Smooth Muscle Ab.      <20         Normal <20

Please help interrupting these results, do i need treatment, is there any liver damage? ....

with your low level viremia i would not advocate antiviral therapy.  Your liver chemistry tests are normal which is good.  your platelet count is somewhat on the low side however which could mean that you have advanced fibrosis.  You should have an abdominal imaging study to rule our cirrhosis and portal hypertension.

Ive just have a look inside the ultrasound envelope and found a doctor interruption.

The liver has normal Sonographic appearance with no evidence of Hepatic cirrhosis or definite focal liver lesion. There is mild Splenomegaly measuring 14cm. No ascites"

Thx alot. I've done altrasound already. On thursday im showing it to a Doctor. And i'll be back with interruption on it
